Vanilla Caramel Crown Cake with Cream Cheese Filling and Fresh Cherries
My recent trip to Frankfurt inspired me to try this recipe, it is delectable with fresh cherries and light with very little cream. My mother would marvel, here is a complimentary recipe.
Instructions
  1. Mix eggs and sugar till creamy.
  2. Add oil and mix.
  3. Add flour and baking powder and fold gently.
  4. Add buttermilk, milk and vanilla extract to lovely running consistency.
  5. Bake in a crown tin at 180 for 35 minutes.
  6. On the side whip cream cheese and white vanilla caramel.
  7. Take out cake and turn it around.
  8. Assemble by filling crown cake with cream cheese and top up with fresh cherries.
